Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan(SSA) is the comprehensive and integrated flagship programme of Government of India, to attain Universal Elementary Education (UEE) in the country in a mission mode, this programme was launched with the State Government in 2001-02 in the sharing pattern of fund in the ratio of 85%: 15% initially. In the present funding pattern between the Government of India and State Government has been reduced in the ratio of 65%:35%. In order to adopt proper accounting policy in respect of monetary transactions of the funds release by the Government of India and State Government in agreed ratio Accounts wing have been established in the State Project Office, 12 District Project Office and 1 Assistant Project Coordinator, Kaza Distt. Lahual Spiti as well as one tally-cum-account assistant have also appointed through out source agency (NIELIT) in each Block level to ensure strict observance of these accounting principles as mentioned in manual on Financial Management and Procurement.
