Management Information System
In order to collect the annual school statistics/information and to meet the data processing needs of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, MIS wings have been established in all the DIETs and at State Project Office. These MIS wings have been fully equipped with requisite Computer Hardware & Software along with professional/ trained manpower.
Man power
There is one post of MIS Incharge, One Asstt. Programmer and two data Entry Operators at State Project Office and in each district one post of MIS Incharge and two data entry operators have been sanctioned.
- District Information System for Education (DISE) and State Educational Planning system (STEPS) software has been implemented in all the districts and State level.
- The MIS staff is trained from time to time at National and State level to take up MIS under SSA.
- School information as on 30th September of every year is being collected through DISE data capture format up to 12th class from all the schools in the state and the reports are being generated and data is submitted to GOI every year during the month of December/January.
- DISE data thus collected is being used in the preparation of Annual Work Plan & Budget of SSA and for other future planning of education department besides other departments.
- State Project Office (SSA) publish a pocket size booklet "Educational Statistics" based on DISE data as on 30th September every year. This booklet is distributed to all teachers, schools, clusters, blocks and districts. Copies of the booklet are also distributed to all other departments and other states besides important offices in GOI.
- 5% Random Sample Checking of DISE Data is got conducted in two selected Districts on rotation basis through an independent agency. The report submitted by the independent agency is shared with GOI (NUEPA). The broad findings of the survey indicate that there is very meager variation in the two sets of data collected by two different agencies at two different point of time for the same date i.e. 30th September.
Software related technical assistant is given by NUEPA to all the State. District and Block user may visit site www.dise.in/Udise.html for necessary updates/patches.
