STRENGTHENING TEACHING-LEARNING AND RESULTS FOR STATES (STARS) PROJECT

STARS

Strengthening Teaching-Learning and Results for States, or Project STARS, is a World Bank effort that attempts to raise the calibre of the Indian educational system (STARS). In order to promote public school education and support the nation's mission of "offering education for all," the STARS initiative relies on the long-standing collaboration between India and the World Bank that dates back to 1994. The Ministry of Education's Department of School Education and Literacy would oversee the project's implementation as a brand-new centrally supported programme (MoE).
